Assignements Guide for Basic Course

Enabling & Publishing Assignments Automatically

For Basic Course, assignments will be published automatically, when faculty marks the previous lesson as complete.

But for other courses like 100 and 101, no assignments have been configured to be published automatically.

Hence with this feature, please note

1.Faculty will NOT be able to create any assignments for any course

  1. ONLY for BASIC course, assignments are configured. So for 100 and 101, neither faculty will be able to create assignments nor they will see any pre-configured assignments.
  2. Existing assignments that faculty has created till now, will still show up under respective courses.
  3. For BASIC Course - In addition to auto publishing next assignment when faculty marks a lesson complete, we will pre-populate assignments corresponding to completed lessons. For example, if the faculty has completed up to lesson 5, all assignments corresponding to lessons 1-6 will automatically show up. Whenever lesson 6 is marked complete by faculty, assignment for lesson 7 will automatically show up.
  4. For existing BASIC Course, batches, in case faculty had created their own assignments and want the auto published assignments to be deleted, please mail us with details and we will remove the duplicate assignments.

FACULTY FLOW

Faculty does not need to create assignments for the course. All assignments will be uploaded by content team and published for students as per following logic

1.Lesson 1 Assignments will be published on Course Start Date or when the Introduction or Welcome module is marked as complete.

For e.g. for Basic Course in Entrepreneurship, when faculty marks Welcome module as Complete, Lesson 1 assignments will show up.

If for a course, there is no Pre-lesson 1 modules, then assignments will be published on course start date. For e.g. if course start date is 1st Oct 2018, then Lesson 1’ assignments will be published (i.e. listed under Assignments tab) from 1st Oct onwards.

Default end date = 30 days from start date.

Faculty can edit assignment end date.

2.Other lessons assignments - Assignments for lesson 2 and onwards will be published when previous lesson is Marked as complete.

For e.g., if lesson1 is Marked as Complete on 1st Nov, then assignments for lesson 2 will be published on 1st Nov.

Start date = Previous lesson marked as complete date (for above e.g. it will be 1st Nov)

Default end date = 1 month from start date (For above e.g. it will be 1st Dec).

Faculty can edit assignment end date.

For e.g., Lesson 1 was marked as complete and assignments for Lesson 2 are now listed under Assignments. Lesson 1 assignments are also shown as they are published on course start date.

Click on resume course, then click on Assignments from top Menu. Assignments list will be shown.
